Itinerary

Day 1ARRIVE JKI APT + Transfer To Your Hotel

  • Arrive into the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi ex morning / or afternoon or evening flight.
  • Meet/greet by our representative.   Briefed and transferred to Hemingways Hotel, Nairobi www.hemingways-nairobi.com for check in.
  • This is a 5 star hotel located in the suburbs of Nairobi city, Karen Area.
  • Afternoon spend at leisure.    You may opt to do some excursions available in Nairobi for instance visit to the nearby Giraffe Centre or Karen Museum, available on request and payable at extra charge.   You can liaise with our representative on this!    
  • Dinner on own arrangements followed by peaceful overnight at the hotel
  • Overnight: Hemingways Hotel, Nairobi.   
  • Bed Only (No. Breakfast/lunch & Dinner) Breakfast served following day

Day 2AMBOSELI Nairobi – Amboseli by flight

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • 0730 Your driver guide will pick you up for transfer to Wilson Airport (Kenya’s domestic Airport) for your scheduled flight to the Amboseli.     Departure time scheduled at 0830hrs
  • 0910-Approximate arrival at Amboseli airstrip. Meet by Tortilis Camp, www.tortilis.com vehicle and transfer to the luxury tented camp for check in.  With the majestic backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain, and the world’s highest mountain, Tortilis Camp is widely regarded as the prime location for witnessing the majesty of snow-capped Kilimanjaro.  Tortilis Camp is named after flat-topped, umbrella thorn tree that surrounds the camp, the acacia Tortilis.    The luxury tents are all spacious, with king or twin beds and elegant en-suite bathrooms.   There is a main lounge, bar and a dining area, all exquisitely built with natural material and thatched roofs, with magnificent views of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
  • 1300 Lunch at the luxury tented camp, dining room. After lunch an hour to relax or opt to have a dip at the swimming pool.
  • 1600-This afternoon enjoy an afternoon game drive within the conservancy
  • 1830-Return to the tented camp for freshen up
  • 1930- Dinner and overnight at the luxury camp
  • Overnight:  Tortilis Camp

Day 3AMBOSELI

  • 0630-Woke up to another day in Africa with Mt. Kilimanjaro tallest Mountain in Africa on the background. Breakfast at the lodge.
  • 0830 With packed lunches, depart for a full day game drive in the park
  • 1700 Return to your lodge for freshen up.
  • Overnight:  Tortilis Camp
  • Game Package: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner / alcoholic & Non-alcoholic drinks except premium brands
  • Game drives in shared vehicle belonging to the luxury camp with other guests

Day 4SAMBURU Amboseli – Samburu via Wilson Apt by flight

  • 0630 -Breakfast at the tented camp.
  • 0730 -Your driver guide will pick you up for transfer to Amboseli Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Samburu.  This flight will fly via Wilson Airport   Departure time scheduled at 0830hrs
  • 1110 -Approximate arrival at Kalama airstrip – Samburu.  Meet by Saruni Samburu Lodge, http://www.sarunisamburu.com  vehicle and transfer to the luxury lodge for check in.   Saruni Samburu’s six luxury, eco-chic villas are open and spacious, heralding spectacular views over Kalama Conservancy and Mount Kenya. Day 5SAMBURU

  • 0630 Breakfast at the lodge.
  • 0830 With packed lunches, depart for a full day game drive in the reserve including Buffalo Springs
  • 1600 Return to your lodge for freshen up.
  • Overnight:  Saruni Samburu
    Game Package: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner / alcoholic & Non-alcoholic drinks except premium brands
  • Game drives in shared vehicle belonging to the luxury camp with other guests

Day 6MASAI MARA Samburu –Masai Mara by flight

  • 0630 Breakfast at the tented camp.
  • 0730  Your driver guide will pick you up for transfer to Kalama Airstrip, Samburu for your scheduled flight to the Mara.  This flight may fly via Wilson Airport depending on flight manifest / minimum number level.   Departure time scheduled at 1035hrs

    NOTE: 
    Aircrafts operated on this schedule service are either:  Cessnas/Caravans/Twin Otters/Dash depending on passenger manifest of that day.  Please also note that the aircrafts do not fly in directly from Wilson domestic airport to your booked property, but they do make short 5 min hop off / hop on stops to enable other passengers to dis-embark and embark the aircraft depending on which property they will be staying at.     

  • 1235 Approximate arrival at Masai Mara airstrip.  Meet by Angama Mara, www.angama.com vehicle and transfer to the luxury lodge for check in.   Angama Mara is a top luxury lodge in the Mara, the best in the whole reserve currently. Rests of the morning spend at leisure at the tented camp followed by lunch. After lunch have an hour to relax.   
  • 1600 Afternoon game drive in the plain of Masai Mara in search of wildlife;  All members of the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, African elephant, African buffalo, and Black Rhinoceros) are found in the Mara.   On lucky day, you can spot all of them.   Ensure to carry a good Camera with a wide zoom as game is amazing! Other species of animal includes Hippopotami and Nile crocodiles are found in large groups in the Mara and Talek rivers., hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, gazelles, Zebras, giraffe  and bat-eared foxes can also be found in the reserve.  Bird species are also in plenty.

    Masai Mara

  • The greatest attraction in the Mara is watching the animals in their natural element; a lion’s roar, a cheetah making a kill, and the big elephant herds are all very fascinating events.
  • You will also meet the Masai who are the inhabitants of this reserve and are proud and largely aloof tribes who have held on to their customs and traditions for hundreds of years.
  • 1830 Return to the luxury lodge after game drive for dinner and overnight
  • Overnight:  Angama Mara /Or Saruni Mara Camp / Or Governors Ilmoran Camp / Or Andbeyond Batleur

Day 7FULL DAY IN MASAI MARA

  • 0600       Wake up to another delightful morning in the bush.
  • 0630       Depart for an early morning game drive.
  • Early morning are lovely moments to see the nocturnal animals trying to get the last catches before they go to sleep.  These also best moments to see the glorious sun as it rises
  • 0830       Return to the tented camp for breakfast.    Rest of the morning spend at leisure
  • 1230       Have lunch at the lodge’s dining room.  
  • After lunch relax before getting ready for afternoon game drive.
  • 1600       Depart for an afternoon game drive in shared camp vehicle
  • 1830       Return to the luxury lodge for dinner an over night
  • Overnight:  Angama Mara /Or Saruni Mara Camp / Or Governors Ilmoran Camp / Or Andbeyond Batleur

Day 8DEPARTURE Mara –Nairobi by flight

  • 0700       Breakfast at the lodge in the Mara.
    After breakfast followed by laxed morning at the lodge. After setting with extras bills, picked up by your safari driver guide and dropped at Mara Airstrip for your onward scheduled flight to Wilson airport.
  • Departure time estimated at 1100hrs;  Please also note that the aircrafts do not fly in directly from Mara airstrip to Nairobi, but they do make short 5 min hop off / hop on 2 – 3 stops to enable other passengers to embark the aircraft depending on which property they will be staying at.   Baggage allowance is strictly 15kg (Including Hand luggage) per person and in soft sided bags.
  • 1215       Arrive at Wilson Airport, meet and transfer to NBO Nairobi Airport for your onward home bound flight.
